Integrative Counsellor
Available for remote and in person appointments (adults only) on a Monday and Thursday during office hours, at Pure Offices, Leamington Spa.
Carrie Harvey is a BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) registered Integrative Counsellor who completed a BSc in Psychology with Counselling in 2021, later becoming fully qualified with an MSc in Counselling at the University of Northampton in 2024.
During her training, Carrie gained extensive experience counselling clients in North Warwickshire Counselling Service and RoSA, a leading charity supporting survivors of rape and sexual abuse.
Carrie offers counselling to clients with a wide range of mental health struggles and life stressors, providing a confidential, reflective and supportive environment. Within Bamford Psychology Service, Carrie provides counselling to clients that we believe do not require psychological therapy but would benefit from counselling instead.
Examples of the kind of issues that Carrie may provide counselling for include depression and anxiety, stressful life events, such as divorce and separation, bereavement, carer burden, chronic illness or work related stress. She may also see clients requiring short term intervention or clients that have completed psychological therapy but would like to engage in ongoing therapy for emotional support and maintaining their mental wellbeing.
Carrie supports clients using a range of therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), attachment and compassion-focussed therapy (CFT). Carrie uses an integrative approach which means working with each individual client’s needs and drawing upon theories and techniques appropriate to them.
We triage all of the referrals coming into Bamford Psychology Service to assess their suitability for counselling or psychological therapy.
