Emily is a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist with a Doctorate from the University of Liverpool and over 12 years of experience in the mental health field. Her career spans a diverse range of academic and clinical roles across the NHS, charitable organisations, and the third sector. She has worked in services throughout the UK, including London, the West Midlands, and the North West, and is deeply committed to promoting equality, equity, and accessible healthcare.

Her research contributions include published studies on trauma, attachment, and bonding during the perinatal period, as well as the psychological impact of physical health conditions.

Emily brings extensive experience in supporting young people, families, and individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. In her current NHS role, she works closely with parents to strengthen bonding and attachment with their children, as well as supporting young people showing early signs of mental health difficulties. She is an advocate for early intervention as a foundation for long-term wellbeing.

Her therapeutic approach is grounded in warmth, compassion, and a non-judgemental stance. She creates safe and brave spaces where individuals can explore their struggles and develop new ways of thinking and feeling that align with their therapeutic goals. Emily integrates human rights-based principles into her practice to empower and support meaningful change.

She is trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Video Interaction Guidance, Narrative and Systemic approaches, and draws on Cognitive Analytic informed methods when working with relational difficulties.
