Dr Sue Cotton is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist who qualified in 2010, after completing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, accredited by the University of Oxford. Since this time she has worked with adults, their families and carers in a variety of NHS and private clinic settings. She has experience of working with different mental health and emotional wellbeing needs including, depression/low mood, anxiety disorders, self-esteem, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss and relationship difficulties. She also has considerable experience of working with people to explore their gender and sexual identities.

Dr Cotton is trained in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). She takes an integrative and individualised approach when working with clients to come to a shared understanding of their current difficulties in order to inform the therapeutic work. She feels that the most important aspect to any therapy is a safe and trusting relationship, where someone can express themselves without fear of judgement.

In her spare time Dr Cotton enjoys spending time outdoors, looking after her many animals and crafting.
